Use this RV Skylight Sealant to install all ICON external skylight domes.
Self leveling white butyl rubber sealant. Use this sealant to install all ICON external Skylight domes. Standard 10 oz. Caulk tube. Mechanical fastening (screws) is required in conjunction with this sealant.
Instructions: Run a thick bead around the skylight opening. Place the skylight. Install screws. DO NOT overtighten. Run another bead around the edge of the flange, bringing a loop up over each screwhead.
An expensive sealant but within the pricepoints of others like it. Very easy to use
Works as expected.
This is a fine product and recommended to me by RV manufacturers. I also learned that the cost/tube is VERY expensive compared to other products, being about 44% to 100% more expensive. But I wanted the best for my camper skylight replacement work and just decided to take the $$ hit. Time will tell how good this sealant really is.
I recently installed a skylight I purched from ICON. I'm very happy with the skylight & only time will tell on the sealant.
