Brisk Air - Dometic - Duo Therm - replacement RV air conditioner shroud fits "old style" Brisk Air 11000, 13500, and 15000 BTU air conditioners.

Note; If your air conditioner model number ends in .x21, .x22, .051, .501, .601 or .603 (example: 57915.622, 57912.622, 59516.603, 59516.501) then it is likely an old style. You should always confirm measurements before purchasing. The original Brisk Air has a 2" grey band attached along the bottom and on some the rear side is left open. The ICON replacement Brisk Air (Old Style) has the extra 2 inches molded as one piece and the rear enclosed for added durability and protection.

Very pleased with our new (old style) Dometic air conditioner cover. It arrived in a very timely manner and was without damage. It fit perfectly on our 1993 Nuwa Hitchhiker, with the exception of the two screws on the back which really presented n

Thank you for your great service. Not particularly happy with the International fee we received connected with this purchase. It would have been nice to have had some warning as to the charge.

DOMETIC BRISK AIR DUO THERM RV AIR CONDITIONER SHROUD (OLD STYLE)

This cover was a great fit for my Duo-Therm model 57915.622. The hole were slots and I had to do a little pushing and pulling but did not have to drill any extra holes. It did not have the two hole in the back but it also did not have the cut out like the original unit so maybe they felt they were not needed. I bought two and it took me about 30 minutes to change each unit. One I did the morning I was leaving as the old covers were so brittle I was afraid pieces of them would be flying down the high way.

    could be thicker!

I’m a little disappointed in it’s gauge or thickness. The UV will surely ‘have its way’ with the plastic, sooner than later, I expect. Nor do I expect the cover to hold up to hail very well. But we’ll see. The old ones I had on there were pretty hammered after only ten years.

    ICON Response:

    Hi Larry,

I wanted to address your concerns on thickness. Thickness is actually a very limited factor in regards to the product durability. Where the originals use a thicker more rigid ABS plastic, our premium aftermarket AC Shrouds use a more malleable/softer High Molecular Weight Polyurethane.

So in regards to hail (or other) impact, our part absorbs the damage and rebounds rather than fracturing. This material is also less susceptible to damage due to extreme temperature fluctuations for this same reason. Put simply - it just has more 'give'.

With this mentality in mind, that is why the material may not be as thick as the original. We do more with less (but higher quality, more fitting) material.

The HMW material also has very elaborate UV inhibiting properties. Where many plastics become brittle or "dry rotten" with UV damage, this will not be your experience with our shrouds. The material will retain it's malleability for years to come.
